Island Walk is a 205,000 square foot redevelopment of a historic Publix-anchored shopping center in Palm Coast Florida. The Redevelopment added an additional 50,000 square feet of retail space to create a quality shopping experience that includes Publix Super Markets, Hobby Lobby, Petco and Tuesday Morning along with small shop space and outparcels for additional retail, restaurants and services. As part of the expansion, Publix signed a lease for a new 53,785-square foot store, approximately 20% larger and located to the west of its previous location. The center is located one-half mile east of I-95, at the signalized intersection of Palm Coast Parkway and Old Kings Road in Palm Coast, Florida. The Project has 975′ of frontage along Palm Coast Parkway NE. Palm Coast is located near many of Florida’s cities including St. Augustine (30 miles), Jacksonville (63 miles), Orlando, accessible via I-4 (80 miles) and Tampa (164 miles). Although not incorporated as a city until 1999, Palm Coast began in 1969 when ITT Corporation bought several thousand acres of land in Flagler County to develop a retirement community. The U.S. Census Bureau listed it as the fastest-growing MSA in the nation from 2000 to 2010 on a percentage basis, growing by 92%.
